This 50 cents currency is purple and orange color, with portrait of King George VI, engraved and printed by Thomas De La Rue Co,. London, signed by H.Weisberg, Chairman of Commissioners,size 114mmx76mm.
The reverse of this currency has the arms of Straits Settlements on top,centre surrounded by federated & Unfederated Malay States and Brunei arms.
There are a few versions of this 50 cents 1941 paper money namely variety “a” & “a”, variety “b” & “b”, variety “b” & “c” and variety “b” & “d” of which variety “b” & “d” is the most expensive of the group,next in value is variety “b” & “c” and then variety “a” & “a” and vareity “b” & “b”
